2019 - A Year of Adventure
I know it's the end of February and a bit late for a New Year type of post, but since I'm relaunching the blog, I hope you will indulge me.
If you've been a part of my website community, you will notice a brand new look to the site. New logo, new style, and the old devotional blog has disappeared. Don't worry, I'm holding on to those posts and they may reappear in book form someday, but for now I'm starting fresh. 2019 is going to be a year of new adventures and big changes and I'd like to give you an update of what's coming.
First up, I'm super excited to announce that I have two books coming out this year. TWO! As busy as I've been this fact still humbles and stuns me when I think about it. It has been twelve years since my last book was published. That is my son's entire life! And now, over a decade later, I have not one, but two new books getting ready to be released.
Mission Hollywood, book one of my contemporary Christian romance series, is due out in July. I can't wait to share Ben and Lily's story with you! A cover reveal is coming soon as well as opportunities to be an ARC reader.
The second book coming out this year is a bit of a secret. Once the publisher gives me the go ahead I'll shout it from the rooftops, but for right now all I can say is this is the book of my heart. It is an intensely personal novel and I am beyond excited to see it in print.
In addition to my upcoming books, I am also in the process of starting a YouTube channel. Which is hilarious considering the fact that I am seriously camera shy. But I'm so passionate about helping other writers and artists develop their gifts and use them for the glory of God that I'm willing to brave the scary camera. Once I work out all the logistics (and beg my brilliant husband for technical help) I'll get the channel up and running and let you know where to find it.
And finally...the blog. I don't anticipate posting every day again. I'm currently working on the sequel to Mission Hollywood as well as a nonfiction book and I won't have enough words to keep up with a daily blog. Right now I'm hoping for twice a week...one blog post about life, books, and faith and another geared for writers. So keep an eye out for Writer Wednesday posts where I'll share tips, tricks, and insights about writing and publishing.
It's going to be a busy, crazy, exciting year of new adventures. I don't know if I'm ready for it, but God is in control. Thank you for being a part of it!
