I am beyond thrilled to announce that my women's fiction novel, Light on Glass, is going to be published! The amazing team at Filles Vertes Publishing loves my precious book baby as much as I do and I know they are going to do a great job with it.
I love every book I have written. I invest everything I have in each one. Late nights, caffeine overloads, frustration-fueled deletes, and happy tears when I finally type "The End." They're all special. But Light on Glass is just a wee-bit extra-special. This book is my passion project. It's a deeply personal story about a has-been author turned stay-at-home mom who desperately wants to be known as more than just the woman who drives the soccer carpool. She escapes suburban life to write her next novel, but even in a secluded mountain cabin, distractions and doubt threaten to sabotage the book, and her dreams.
I started writing Light on Glass during National Novel Writing Month in November, 2016. It was my fist time participating and it was the perfect way to jump-start the novel. It has gone through a ton of revisions since then, but it has finally found a home at Filles Vertes Publishing. There are more revisions to come, but the book is officially on it's way! We're looking at a tentative release date of December, 2019.
That's this year!!! (I'm not sure if I'm feeling wild excitement or mild panic right now.)
Look at that...I've got the perfect gift for you to give the person you love most. Or the person you love second most. Or basically everyone you know!
It's going to be a busy year, but I am grateful for every open door the Lord has given me. Thank you for celebrating with me.
